The Nightmare
“Oh…. Finally I can take a rest”
said Kayla. While Kayla lay down her body to her mattress, suddenly her phone
is ringing. “Damn it… who is calling in the middle of night?” ask Kayla. Meanwhile
Kayla picks up the phone, she also starring her wrist watch. “Hello… who is
this?” said Kayla. “It’s me Mr. John. I’m sorry I disturb you….” said Mr. John.
“Yeah... You are disturbing me now” said Kayla whisper. “What do you whisper it
out?” ask Mr. John. “Oh… nothing. What is your reason to calling me now, Mr.
John? Ask Kayla angrily. “Straight to the point, tomorrow we are having a meeting”
said Mr. John. “Seriously? Tomorrow is my holiday and everyone also knows,
tomorrow is Sunday, do you understand?!” ask Kayla angrily. “I’m sorry but you
must…” said Mr. John without continue his word because the phone was decidable.
“Too much disturb and oh… my beloved pillow, I will come to you” said Kayla. Meanwhile,
Kayla got off to sleep and night getting lateness.
Suddenly, something is broken in the
kitchen and it make Kayla is get up. “Oh… great! Kept me wide awake…!” said
Kayla while go down the stair into the kitchen. Until in the kitchen, she sees
the kitchen equipment, the plates and mugs are broken on the floor. Unwittingly,
from the back Kayla some knives are move and fly over to Kayla. One of knives
stab on to table and it make Kayla looked blank and tried to escape from the
knives are fly over. Unfortunately one of them, shred Kayla’s thigh. Cause of
that, Kayla is falling on the floor and without warning the knives tried to stab
again and chasing Kayla in the floor. Until Kayla lean upon the wall. Chasing the
knives are never stop it until the lean upon the wall of Kayla and one of the
knives tried to stab to Kayla’s face, before the knife stab he face, suddenly
Kayla get up from her bed surprise, “It’s just dreaming seemingly…. Thank God!”
said Kayla grateful and wipe her chest.
After that, she tried to lie down
and sleep and just few minutes she is sleep. But not for long, suddenly she
wake up from the lay down on lean upon the wall and look like suspicions. “Why I
sleep in here?” ask Kayla itself and while that she look around and she sees
strewn with the knives. And she tried to avoid the knives and “It can’t be I’m
dreaming?” said Kayla. Suddenly a ball is rebound from the upstairs and goes to
Kayla while Kayla walks to the dining room. After she catches the ball, she
heard some voice. “Kayla…! Kayla…! Kayla…!” said some strange voice. Suddenly the
ball in the Kayla’s arm is rebound to her face and the rebound to all direction
in the dining room, it make the thing is broken. Kayla is fall on the floor
with the bleeding nose to avoid the broken candled and balance box. And again
arm of Kayla is stab by the mirror of balance box and in a pinch, she is covert
the underneath the table but not for long. The rebound of the ball is bound on
the table, cause of that the table almost cracked. And again Kayla must to
escape from the ball and run into the stair. Before she goes to upstairs the
ball chasing her and bound to Kayla. It’s make Kayla take a header and with crawl
on hands and knees, she tried avoid the ball and unwittingly, the ball again
bound to Kayla. Suddenly, Kayla gets up from her bed, “Ahhhh…!!! Oh.. No! My
head” whimper Kayla while she felt something wrong in her head.. “It’s strange
nightmare…” said Kayla again.
Because of that, she tried to sleep
and stay up because she afraid if she sleep strange nightmare probably happen
again. She is playing game, watching television and do push-up. Suddenly, “Kayla…!
Kayla…! Kayla…!” said strange voice. “Who are you?” ask Kayla. “Please come
out!” said Kayla again. Suddenly the lamp in the Kayla bedroom is turn on and
off. “Don’t try to fool on me!” said Kayla and tried to walk out from her
bedroom but until in the front door of bedroom, suddenly the door is closed
itself. And make Kayla go back and grab the table lamp, suddenly she sees some
figure like the black shadow is stand of the door. “Whatever who you are… you
are disturb my sleep now, so tried get it” said Kayla while throwing the table
lamp into the black shadow but it emerge. “Ha… ha… ha…!” laugh the strange
voice. Then Kayla tried to escape from the black shadow but she can’t because
she is strangled by the black shadow. “Let me go…! Let me go…! Put me down!”
said Kayla. Turn out to be Kayla is strangling herself while she is wake up
from sleep. “Oh… No! Not again” said Kayla.
The sun will rise and the light of
sunshine come in to Kayla bedroom and Kayla look out through the window and
look like suspicious with what happen now. She just relies her body got injured
such as her arm and thigh. Make deeply her suspicious when she sees in her
kitchen and dining room. The ball and knives are attack her in dream but it’s
just not dream but it’s actually happen. Suddenly, some voice from Kayla and its
make Kayla turn back to find the voice, “Kayla…! Kayla…! Kayla…!” said the
strange voice. And what she looks make she looks so saucer eyed, you can figure
out…..Goosebumps story part 8: The Nightmare
